Working hours 39 hours
Shift times 11.33 hour day duty, 12 hour night duty
Education opportunities: Training is ongoing and is given high priority
Continuing professional development: Development of A.M.P role, Nurse/Midwife prescribing
Developments in process: Midwifery Led Unit in place , 1 of 2 in the Republic of Ireland, developing day unit.

Profile: Special Care Baby Unit has 5 cots, (ventilate and stabilise)
There are two teams each with a team leader CMM2. Teams rotate every 6 months, from Labour Ward back to Antenatal/Postnatal Ward
